While I do have a cookbook addiction, I think the newest book I need to cook with is a notebook! I need to try some menu planning and feed my family well with limited time. So I thought that sharing that here might be a good way to motivate myself and give me a bit of a creative outlet in my busy schedule.
My kids have started school and need lunch three times a week, although they have extremely limited lists of what they will eat.
This is already a short week, as this is already Monday and Wednesday is Yom Kippur.

I need to make a survey of the fridge and freezer and pantry.
Also, I don't do breakfast during the week 90% of the time. Not interested unless it is leisurely, so I don't do it. It is accidental Intermittent Fasting.
Meanwhile, this is my plan:

Tuesday lunch for kids: nutella sandwiches, fruits, cheese, crackers and yogurt drinks.
Tuesday lunch for mom is TBD, but bring something small or eat my leftovers from lunch today.
Leave work early and make Yom Kippur dinner:

Chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes, some sort of veggies that are in the fridge. Lots of iced tea.
If I have the time, I may try to clean and prep the chicken tonight and also make a chicken soup with matzoh balls for tomorrow.

Wednesday is easy, no eating for us, dinner at my MIL's house. Kids can have some chicken.

Thursday:
AM   smoothie with protein powder for husband
LUNCH   frittata I make in the am with assorted cheese and veggies
PM   Soup

Friday
AM  ditto
